• OVER THE AIR (OTA) SETTINGS SERVICE
To use browsers, MMS, GPRS, and other wireless services, you must have the proper
settings on your phone. If you receive the settings directly as an OTA message, then
you need only to save the settings on your phone. For more information about the
availability of the settings, contact your service provider or nearest authorized
Nokia dealer.
•PROFILES
Profiles define how your phone reacts when you receive a call or a message, how
your keypad sounds when you press a key, and more. Ringing options, keypad tones,
and other settings for each of the five available profiles can be left at their default
setting, or customized to suit your needs. Select and customize the most suitable
profile for your situation, such as when you are in a meeting or outdoors. The profiles
available are Normal, Silent, Meeting, Outdoor, and Pager.
Note: Profiles are also available for enhancements such as a headset and
car kit. See “Enhancement settings” on page 70 for more information
about enhancement profiles.
