- a) Short press and long press of the music key The first short press of the music key will take you to the music menu.
- b) Once you are in the music menu, a short press switches or scrolls through the menu choices (Music player, Radio, and Switch music off). The choices are highlighted as you move or switch from one menu choice to the next.
- c) A long press on a highlighted choice selects and starts the music player or radio, or switches the music off.

- 1 Indicates the wireless system that is in use.
- 2 Shows the signal strength of the cellular system at your current location. The higher the bar, the stronger the signal.

- Install the SIM card and battery
- 1 Before you install the SIM card, make sure the phone is switched off.
- 2 Remove the back cover of the phone with the back of the phone facing you.
- 3 Press the back cover release button (1) and slide the cover forward.
- 4 Slide the SIM card holder down (3) and pull up to open (4).
- 5 Insert the SIM card into the SIM card holder (5).
- 6 Close the SIM card holder (6) and push up to lock (7).
- 7 Insert the battery (8) with the gold contacts on the battery aligned with the gold contacts in the battery slot.
- 8 To replace the back cover (9), insert the locking catches on the back cover in the corresponding slots in the phone, and slide the cover until it locks into place.

- 1 Make sure the phone is switched off.
- 2 With the back of the phone facing you, slide the cover open and remove the battery. See step 1 in Install the SIM card and battery.
- 3 To remove the memory card, press the memory card release button (1) and lift the card off (2).
- 4 To install the memory card, gently press the memory card in place (3) while pressing the memory card release button (4). Make sure that the gold contacts of the card are facing down.

- 1 Remove the back cover.
- 2 To remove the front cover, gently pull the cover on both sides (1) and remove the cover starting from the top (2).
- 3 Remove the key mat from the front cover and replace on the phone (3).
- 4 To replace the front cover, place the catches on the lower part of the cover into the corresponding holes in the phone (4); then gently press the cover into place (5).

- 1 The number keys are located on the right side of the keyboard. Key in the phone number, including the area code. If you key in an incorrect number, press Clear to delete it.

- 1 Make a call to the first participant.
- 2 To make a call to a new participant, press Options and select New call.
- 3 Key in or search the memory for the phone number of the new participant and press Call. The first call is automatically put on hold.
- 4 When the new call has been answered, join the first participant in the conference call. Press Options and select Conference.
- 5 To add a new person to the call, repeat steps 2 to 4.

- 2 If more than one message has been received, select the one that you want to read. An unread text message is indicated by in front of it and a picture message that has not been viewed is indicated by .

- 4 Select Reply to reply to a message. Select Original text to include the original message in the reply, or select a standard answer (to be included in the reply, or select Empty screen.

- 1 To turn on the radio, press Menu, and select Music and Radio.
- 2 If you have already saved radio stations, you can scroll to the station you want to listen to, or select a radio station location 1 to 20 by pressing the corresponding number key.

- 1 Start Windows.
- 2 Insert the CD-ROM supplied in the sales package in the CD-ROM drive of your PC.
- 3 If the CD-ROM does not launch itself automatically, open Windows Explorer and select the CD-ROM drive where you inserted the CD-ROM.
- 4 Right-click the Nokia Audio Manager icon and select Autorun.
- 5 Follow the installation instructions that appear on the display of the computer to successfully complete the installation.

- 1 On the PC, open Nokia Audio Manager.
- 2 Insert a music CD in the CD drive of your PC and click on the CD Player tab.

- 4 To save tracks onto your hard disk, select the tracks you want and click the Save tracks button.
- 5 To transfer the saved tracks to the Music Studio, click the + Add button, select the required tracks, and click Open.
- 6 Transfer the tracks to the Music Studio: In the Music Studio, click the Add button and browse for the saved music tracks. Select the required track(s), right-click on the selection and select Open from the shortcut menu.

- 1 Connect your PC and your phone with the supplied DKU-2 USB cable.
- 2 Open Windows Explorer. Your phone will appear as a local drive (named by Nokia 3300), and with a drive letter assigned to it.
- 3 Click on the folders to display a window that shows the contents of the folder on the phone memory card.
- 4 Open a second instance of Windows Explorer and display the contents of the folder on your PC where you have MP3 files stored.
- 5 Select the MP3 files on your PC that you wish to transfer to the phone.
- 6 Drag and drop the files from the second window into the first window and place in the music folder.
- 7 Disconnect the USB cable by double-clicking the green arrow on the taskbar at the bottom of your PC screen.

- 4 If you speak too quietly, too long, or too short, a screen displays a message and asks if you want to try again. Press OK and Start again.

- To log in for the first time, perform the following steps:
- 1 Press Menu and scroll to IM, Menu 14. Press Select and Opening application appears.
- 2 From the IM menu, scroll to Active network and select the network to which you want to connect.
- 3 From the IM menu, scroll to Login and press Select. The User ID: screen appears.
- 4 Enter your user name, press Options, then select OK.
- 5 Enter your password, press Options, then select OK.

- c) Nokia was not advised in writing by the Consumer of the alleged defect or malfunction of the Product within fourteen (14) days after the expiration of the applicable limited warranty period.
- d) The Product serial number plate or the accessory data code has been removed, defaced or altered.
- e) The defect or damage was caused by the defective function of the cellular system or by inadequate signal reception by the external antenna, or viruses or other software problems introduced into the Product.
- 8 Nokia does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Product. If a problem develops during the limited warranty period, the Consumer shall take the following step-by-step procedure:
- a) The Consumer shall return the Product to the place of purchase for repair or replacement processing.
