To recall the number from notepad memory:

Press first, then enter as the location
number and confirm by pressing (or press
first and then ).

If the location is empty, the message
LOCATION
EMPTY
will be displayed.

To call the number, press .
To store the number (and name) from the notepad
memory location in a standard memory location, re-
call it, then store it as described in Storing Names
and Phone Numbers on page 19.
Entering Names

If in numeric entry mode, press to select
the alpha mode. The
ABC
indicator will appear
on the display to indicate that letters can now
be entered.

Press the key labeled with the letter you want.
Press it once to obtain the first letter, twice (be-
fore the cursor appears) to obtain the second
and so on. If you miss the letter you want, just
repress the key until the desired character re-
appears.

If you want the same letter twice, either select it
as above, wait until the cursor appears and se-
lect it again, or select the letter and press
and then select it again immediately.

To enter a space between the letters, press .
•
To enter a hyphen or another special character
(-, &, ., :) between the letters, press until
the desired character appears.
•
To correct a mistake, press to erase characters
one by one, or press and hold to clear the
whole display.
Note:
Clearing the whole display
automatically restores numeric entry mode.

To exit alpha mode, press .
You can toggle between name and number entry
mode by pressing .
