There may be restrictions on using Bluetooth technology in some
locations. Check with your local authorities or service provider.
Features using Bluetooth technology, or allowing such features to run in
the background while using other features, increases the demand on
battery power and reduces the battery life.
SETTING UP A BLUETOOTH CONNECTION
1 To activate Bluetooth connectivity, in the Bluetooth menu, select
Bluetooth and On.
When Bluetooth connectivity is on, the indicator is shown at the
top of the display.
• If you activate Bluetooth for the first time, the phone asks for the
Bluetooth device name of your phone. Accept the default name
or change it. This name can be seen by other Bluetooth device
users.
2 Select Search for audio enhancements in the Bluetooth menu to
search for compatible devices with Bluetooth connectivity, for
example the headset HDW-2. The found devices are shown as a list.
3 Select the device that you want to connect to the phone.
4 Enter the device’s Bluetooth passcode to associate (’pair’) and
connect the device to your phone.
Pairing means that you create a connection with a compatible
Bluetooth device by entering its passcode when you connect to it for
the first time. Nokia accessories have fixed passcodes that are
supplied with them.
When the connection is established, Connected to and the device’s
name are displayed.
5 Start using the device.
If you want to check which device using Bluetooth technology is currently
connected to the phone, from the Bluetooth menu, select View active
device and Active device. If you want to close the connection to the
selected device, press Disconnect.
