Memory card security
To protect the memory card with a password, press Menu, and select Memory card → Security → Change password.... Enter
the current password (if already set); then enter the new password, confirm it, and press OK. The password is up to 8
characters long, and it is asked for each time someone tries to access the memory card.
Tip: The password is case-sensitive, and you can use upper and lowercase letters. You can also use numbers.
To remove the memory card password, press Menu, and select Memory card → Security → Remove password.... Enter the
current password, and press Remove.
To format a memory card, press Menu, and select Memory card → Format memory card.... All memory card data is
permanently deleted.
To back up or restore data to or from a memory card, press Menu, and select Memory card → Backup to memory card... or
Restore from memory card....
