DL16 Getting started
Antes de encender la unidad, realice
todas las conexiones digitales y de audio.
Conectar la alimentación.
La conguración predeterminada está
activa cuando todos los LED de estado
sobre el botón CONFIG están apagados
(consulte la Sección 1 en la Tabla de modos de
operación). Si su aplicación requiere una
conguración de salida diferente, presione y
mantenga presionado el botón CONFIG para ingresar
al modo de conguración. Mientras presiona el
botón CONFIG, gire la perilla SELECT / ADJUST para
desplazarse por los elementos. Puede seleccionar
entre las siguientes opciones:
• Active la función SN MASTER para designar la
unidad maestra cuando utilice dos unidades
DL16 en una aplicación de serpiente
independiente. Está disponible en 4 modos,
44,1 kHz y 48 kHz, cada uno con el modo Splitter
activado
o desactivado.
• Active la función SPLITTER para enviar las 16
señales de entrada locales directamente a
las tomas ADAT OUT y P16. Cuando la función
SPLITTER está desactivada, las tomas ADAT
OUT transportan los canales AES50 17-32 y P16
transporta los canales 33-48.
• Seleccione si las tomas OUTPUT 1-8 llevan los
canales AES50 1-8 (LED apagados), 9-16 o 17-24
activando la función OUT +8 o OUT +16.
Suelte el botón CONFIG para salir del
modo de conguración. Consulte la
Tabla de modos de funcionamiento para
obtener más detalles.
Presione repetidamente la perilla
SELECT / ADJUST hasta que el lado
izquierdo de la pantalla muestre "In".
Gire la perilla SELECT / ADJUST para seleccionar una
de las entradas 1-16.
Presione el botón 48 V para activar /
desactivar la alimentación fantasma del
canal seleccionado, si es necesario.
Presione el botón GAIN. El botón se
iluminará y la ganancia ahora se puede
ajustar con la perilla SELECT / ADJUST.
Gire la perilla hacia la derecha hasta que los picos
más fuertes en su habla o interpretación provoquen
que el LED de -9 dB se encienda brevemente en
el medidor.

Before powering the unit on, make all
audio and digital connections.
Turn on the power.
The default conguration is active when
all status LEDs above the CONFIG button
are o (see Seq . 1 in Operation
ModeChart). If your application requires a dierent
output setup, press and hold the CONFIG button to
enter conguration mode. Whilepressing the
CONFIG button, turn the SELECT/ADJUST knob to
scroll through the items. You can select from the
following options:
• Engage the SN MASTER function to designate
the master unit when using two DL16 units in a
standalone snake application. Thisis available in
4 modes, 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz, eachwith Splitter
mode engaged or disengaged.
• Engage the SPLITTER function to send the
16 local input signals directly to the ADAT OUT
and P16 jacks. When the SPLITTER function is
disengaged, theADAT OUT jacks carry AES50
channels 17-32 and P16 carries channels 33-48.
• Select whether the OUTPUT jacks 1-8 carry the
AES50 channels 1-8 (LEDs o), 9-16, or 17-24 by
engaging the OUT +8 or OUT +16 function.
Release the CONFIG button to exit
conguration mode. See the Operation
Mode Chart for moredetails.
Repeatedly press the SELECT/ADJUST
knob until the left side of the display
shows “In”. Turn the SELECT/ADJUST
knob to select one of the inputs 1-16.
Press the 48 V button to toggle the
selected channel’s phantom power
on/o, if necessary.
Press the GAIN button. The button will
light, and the gain can now be adjusted
with the SELECT/ADJUST knob. Turn the
knob to the right until the loudest peaks in your
speaking or playing cause the -9 dB LED to light
briey in the meter.
With headphones connected to the
PHONES jack, turn the adjacent
MONITORING LEVEL knob up to a
comfortable listening level.
NOTE: Please verify that your specic AES50 connections provide stable operation prior to using the products
in a live performance or recording situation. The maximum distance for AES50 CAT5 connections is 100 meters
(330 feet). Please consider using shorter connections where possible for gaining safety margin. Combining 2
or more cables with extension connectors can reduce the reliability and maximum distance between AES50
products. Unshielded (UTP) cable may work well for many applications, but entails an additional risk for ESD
issues. We guarantee, that all our products will perform as specied with 50 m of Klark Teknik NCAT5E-50M,
and we recommend using cable of similar quality, only. Klark Teknik also oers the very cost-eective DN9610
AES50 Repeater or DN9620 AES50 Extender for situations where extremely long cable runs are required.
NOTA: Verique que sus conexiones AES50 especícas brinden un funcionamiento estable antes de usar los

AES50 CAT5 es de 100 metros (330 pies). Considere utilizar conexiones más cortas siempre que sea posible
