Chapter 5: Programming Mode
This chapter describes the programming mode, which lets you set up your DL471 DSP.
About the programming mode
In programming mode the four programming buttons in the control panel navigate and
select options from four menus. These menus (see “Menus” on page 13) are used for
setting up the unit ID, checking the internal temperature of the unit and changing the
brightness and contrast of the LCD screen and LEDs, and changing the contrast of the
LCD screen.
Menu navigation
The menu flowchart (see “Menu flowchart (menus 1 to 4)” on page 10) gives an
overview of all the menus and their options, and shows you how to navigate your way
around them.
In the diagram the menus are shown on the left, and each subsequent lower level is to
the right. Also, non-flashing options are the ones currently selected.
The four programming buttons in the control panel have the following functions.
>> To enter/exit programming mode
To enter programming mode, press the down arrow button. The LCD screen’s default
display (see display A on page 10) will change to menu 1.
To exit programming mode from any menu display screen, press MENU repeatedly
until you reach the default screen. The DL471 DSP will exit programming mode
automatically after about 15 seconds of inactivity, that is, if none of the programming
buttons are pressed within that time.
>> To select a menu
In programming mode, scroll to the menu you want by using the up/down arrow
buttons. Then, press SELECT.
