Menus
The eight menus in programming mode are as follows:
Unit ID (1) — for setting up the DL471 DSP’s network unit ID (see “Unit ID menu
(1)” below).
Temperature (2) — for viewing the temperature within the DL471 DSP unit. The
temperature value continually updates so that you can view the temperature
fluctuations (in 0.25°C increments).
LED brightness (3) — for adjusting the brightness of the LCD screen and the LEDs
(see “LED brightness menu (3)” on page 14).
LCD contrast (4) for adjusting the contrast of the LCD screen (see “LCD contrast
menu (4)” on page 14).
Firmware (5) for viewing the unit’s host software, which scrolls across the
bottom of the display.
SMIB Version (6) for viewing the unit’s SMIB version, which scrolls across the
bottom of the display.
Main Board LCD contrast (7) for viewing the current revision of the unit’s main
board.
AMELink Speed (8) for change the speed of the AME link (see “AMELink Speed
menu (8)” on page 15).

Unit ID menu (1)
Each networked unit must have a unique ID number that identifies it from other DSP
units on the network. This option allows you set up the DL471 DSP unit with its own
unique network ID number.
Note: Units are usually numbered sequentially from 11 to 20.
>> To set up the unit’s ID number
1 In programming mode, select the “Unit ID” menu (see
“To select a menu” on page 9). The current unit ID
will be shown on the bottom line of the display, for
example, “1”.
2 Press SELECT. The flashing character shows you are
in unit ID set up mode.
3 Use the down/up arrow buttons to go to the unit ID
number you want (in the range 0 to 255). For
example, “15”.
4 Press SELECT to select the currently displayed ID
number. The flashing will stop.
5 Press MENU.
