DL471 DSP
Operator Manual
Error messages
During operation the following messages will appear on the second line of the LCD
screen display to inform you of a communication problem between the unit and the
control centre’s master controller. When either message is displayed, the unit’s outputs
are muted and the unit has no functionality.
After the unit detects the lack of communication with the master controller, it waits for
a user-configurable period of time (set on the control centre’s GUI) before displaying
the message. This allows the user to choose to have control over the audio for longer
before it is muted.
To rectify the fault, first check that all of the Ethernet connections are good, especially
those on the routers, and make sure that the control centre’s power supply is switched
on. If everything seems ok it is probable that the DL471 DSP unit is faulty. Replace it
with a good one.
waiting for client
The “waiting for client” message scrolls across the screen to
inform you that the unit has not received control data from
the master controller at any time.
UDP timeout
The “UDP watchdog” message means that the unit has
previously received control data from the master controller,
but is no longer receiving it.
