for the bar graphs to run from whilst transistors Q3 and Q4 provide constant current for the bar
graph leds. this is programmed by transistor Q5 which is driven from the console led I ref bus.
Transistors Q6 and Q7 provide adjustable current for the switch indicator led D21.
