Ethernet tunnel panel
When illuminated, the green ext 1 and ext 2 LEDs in the Ethernet
tunnel panel show that third party devices are connected to these ports.

The white router select button (shown right) is used to select which of the
XL8’s two internal 8-port routers the DL461 Router is connected to (X or Y).
Connection is via the snake (FOH-to-stage), which can be Cat6e or fibre
optic.
Note: As a general rule the X router is always positioned on top of Y router in the rack.
In the following example the X and Y routers are shown in their relative rack positions.
The X router is connected to the XL8 Control Centre’s internal X router using a Cat6e
cable ‘snake’. The cable is connected to the Cat6e socket on the router’s rear panel
and the X Cat6e socket on the rear of the XL8. To set up this router you will need to
press the router select button until the X LED is illuminated.
