Installazione della radio Staffa ad U Ricercate e localizzate, sul mezzo mobile, la posizione per installare l’apparato. Utilizzate la staffa di supporto in dotazione per il fissaggio. Tale posizionamento deve essere fatto in modo da non creare intralcio a chi guida, ma deve anche essere facilmente accessibile, adeguatamente areato e protetto dalla luce diretta del sole. 1. Installate la staffa di fissaggio nel veicolo usando le viti autofilettanti e le rondelle piatte fornite in dotazione. 2.
Staffa Din La staffa permette l’installazione su veicoli dotati di alloggiamento ‘DIN’ Connessione all’alimentazione Prima di procedere in questa operazione, controllare che il ricetrasmettitore sia spento. Sul retro della radio è presente un cavo di alimentazione bicolore con un porta-fusibile inserito sul cavo rosso. Il cavo può essere collegato direttamente alla batteria. Se necessario può essere connesso ad una spina accendisigari (non in dotazione).

Operazioni principali Accensione e spegnimento 1. 2. Premere il tasto Premete il tasto (1) per circa un secondo per accendere la radio. (1) per circa 2 secondi per spegnere la radio. Regolazione del volume Premere ripetutamente i tasti VOL- (4) / VOL+ (3) per regolare il volume al livello desiderato; tenerli premuti per una regolazione rapida del volume. Selezione del canale Ruotare il selettore principale (14) per selezionare il canale desiderato.
Per disabilitare rapidamente lo squelch (impostando entrambi i livelli di squelch in OFF) premere il tasto FN (5) seguito dalla pressione del tasto VOL+MON (3). ad indicare l’apertura dello squelch con la funzione Il display mostrerà l’icona MONITOR attiva. Ripetere l’operazione per disabilitare la funzione MONITOR. Regolazione del livello di RF GAIN In presenza di segnali molto forti può essere utile inserire un attenuatore sul segnale ricevuto. 1. Premere brevemente il tasto RFG-M3 (11).
LED (15) si accenderà di colore verde. Per silenziare rapidamente lo speaker premere il tasto FN (5) seguito dalla pressione ad indicare l’attivazione del tasto VOL-MUTE (4). Il display mostrerà l’icona della funzione MUTE. Premere un qualsiasi altro tasto per disabilitare la funzione. Trasmissione Prima di trasmettere sul canale selezionato verificare con attenzione che non sia occupato. Premere il tasto PTT (1) sul microfono e parlare con un tono di voce normale.
La scansione può essere interrotta nei seguenti modi: • premendo il PTT del microfono (1) o * (canale prioritario del microfono) ; • premendo il tasto sul selettore principale (14); • premendo i tasti di navigazione / o /; È possibile escludere uno o più canali dalla scansione: selezionare il canale da escludere e tenere premuto per più di due secondi il tasto sul selettore principale (14), il ad indicare il canale escluso.
Per selezionare la banda desiderata eseguire questa procedura: 1. spegnere la radio; 2. tenere premuti i tasti UP/DOWN (3) (5) del microfono ed accendere la radio con il tasto accensione (1); 3. rilasciare i tasti quando il display mostrerà la scritta “MODE: CE BAND”; La banda desiderata può essere selezionata tramite: 1. i tasti di navigazione / (7); 2. ruotando la manopola del selettore principale (14); 3. con i tasti UP/DOWN del microfono (3) (5). 4.

PARAM SET 2.1 SCAN MODE Questo parametro permette di scegliere la modalità di ripresa della scansione dopo la ricezione di un segnale; la radio permette due tipi di selezione: • TI: una volta attivata, la scansione si ferma per qualche secondo sul segnale ricevuto per poi proseguire la scansione sui canali successivi; • SQ: una volta attivata, la scansione si ferma sul segnale ricevuto. La scansione riprenderà solo se il segnale ricevuto dovesse scomparire; 2.
2.4 EMERGENCY FUNCTION Questa funzione permette di attivare una chiamata di emergenza. Quando è attiva, è possibile inviare un messaggio audio senza la pressione del tasto PTT. Sono disponibili due modalità di emergenza EMG1 ed EMG2. Con EMG1 la radio è in trasmissione ciclicamente per 180 secondi alternando 20 secondi di trasmissione e 10 secondi d ricezione; Con EMG2 la radio è in trasmissione continua per 180 secondi con led rosso acceso e display spento.
Con questa voce in OFF il VOX è disabilitato mentre nelle altre condizioni si abilita e si sceglie il livello di sensibilità che determina l’attivazione della trasmissione. Sono disponibili nove livelli di sensibilità: il livello 1 è quello più sensibile quello 9 richiede un audio più alto per l’attivazione ed è quello meno sensibile. . Quando è attiva la funzione VOX il display mostrerà Per disattivare la funzione ritornare nel menù e mettere in OFF la voce VOX SENSITIVITY. 2.

Installing the radio Mounting bracket Safety and convenience are the primary considerations for mounting any piece of mobile equipment. All controls must be readily available to the operator without interfering with the movements necessary for safe operation of the vehicle. To install the transceiver select a location that will minimize danger to your passengers and yourself while the vehicle is in motion; the location should be well-ventilated and shielded from direct sunlight. 1.
Din-Bracket Thanks to this bracket, MIDLAND 88 can be easily installed into the DIN housing of the vehicles. Power supply Be sure the transceiver is off. On the rear of the radio you will see a bi-color power supply cable with a fuse holder on the red cable. This cable is supplied with a connector suitable for the connection to the radio and vehicle’s battery. It can also be connected to a cigarette lighter cord socket (optional).
Replacing fuses If the fuse blows, try to find a cause before replacing it. If necessary, contact a service center for assistance. The fuse on the rear of the radio has a current rating of 5A Connecting the microphone Plug-in the supplied microphone to the proper 6 pin connector on the front panel of the radio. For a better use of the microphone, you can also fix on the vehicle the supplied mike holder. Installing an antenna • • • • • • Place the antenna as high as possible.

How to store and recall memories M1, M2, M3 and M4 If you press any of these keys for more than 2 seconds, the channel in use will be stored. As confirmation you will hear two beep sounds and a star icon will be displayed in correspondance of the memory. To recall a memory: press FN (5) followed by the button of the memory you want to call M1, M2, M3 or M4. To delete a memory: push FN (5) and keep it pressed for more than 2 seconds.

Keypad lock To prevent accidental pressure of any key or changing channel, the keypad can be locked. 1. Press FN (5) followed by the key (7); 2. the display will show this icon as confirmation. 3. To unlock the keyp press FN (5) follow the same steps. Activating NOISE BLANKER and HIC filters The Noise Blanker and HIC filters allow to reduce noises and interferences coming from the antenna. To activate Noise Blanker , press FN (5) and then push the key on the main selector (14).

When this function is activated, if you press the PTT on the microphone (1) the radio won’t transmit but you can hear your voice coming out from the speaker; it is also possible to connect an external speaker on the rear side of the radio (jack mono 3,5mm). In this case, the inner speaker is automatically excluded.

Installation des Funkgeräts Montagehalterung Sicherheit und Komfort sind die wichtigsten Punkte für die Montage aller mobilen Geräte. Alle Bedienelemente müssen für den Benutzer leicht zugänglich sein, ohne dass die Bewegungsfreiheit zum sicheren Betrieb des Fahrzeugs gestört wird. Wählen Sie für die Installation des Transceivers einen Ort, an dem während der Fahrt geringe Gefahr für Ihre Beifahrer und für Sie selbst besteht. Der Ort sollte gut belüftet und vor direkter Sonneneinstrahlung geschützt sein.
DIN-Halterung Dank dieser Halterung kann der MIDLAND 88 Transceiver leicht in dem DIN-Gehäuse des Fahrzeugs installiert werden. Stromversorgung Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das der Transceiver ausgeschaltet ist. Auf der Rückseite des Funkgeräts f inden Sie ein zweifarbiges Stromversorgungskabel mit einem Sicherungshalter an der roten Leitung. Dieses Kabel hat einen Stecker für den Anschluss an das Funkgerät und die Batterie des Fahrzeugs.
Installation der Antenne • • • • • • Positionieren Sie die Antenne so hoch wie möglich. Je länger die Antenne ist, desto besser ist die Abstrahlung. Falls möglich, montieren Sie die Antenne in der Mitte der Oberfläche. Halten Sie das Antennenkabel von Störquellen wie dem Zündschloss, Armaturen etc. entfernt. Achten Sie auf eine gute Metall-zu-Metall-Masseverbindung. Vermeiden Sie während der Installation eine Beschädigung des Antennenkabels.

6. EMG/MENU – Drücken Sie diese Taste kurz, um den Notfallkanal CH9 oder CH19 auszuwählen. Halten Sie diese Taste gedrückt, um das Funkgerätemenü und seine Parameter und Einstellungen aufzurufen. Drücken Sie FN + EMG und das Display zeigt nur Kanal, nur Frequenz oder Kanal und Frequenz. 7. Auswahltasten: a. Pfeil /: Zum Navigieren innerhalb des Menüs des Funkgeräts und zum Auswählen der Parameter, zum Einstellen von Rauschsperre, DS- und RF-Verstärkung; b.
Vorgehensweise, um auch den HIC-Filter zu aktivieren. Drücken Sie zum Deaktivieren beider Filter die TasteFN (5) und erneut diesen Knopf. Falls Sie den Knopf gedrückt halten, wird der aktuell benutzte Kanal vom Suchlauf ausgeschlossen. Regulacja czułości odbiornika Obniżanie czułości odbiornika może okazać się przydatne przy obecnych w pobliżu silnych sygnałach od okolicznych radiotelefonów. 1. Wciśnij krótko przycisk RFG-M3 (11). 2. Wyświetlacz pokaże aktualny poziom czułości. Używając pokrętła głównego (14) lub przycisków / (7) zmień poziom na inny. 3. Potwierdź wybór wciskając pokrętło główne (14) lub PTT (1) albo poczekaj 6 sek. Wybór rodzaju modulacji AM/FM Do wyboru użyj przycisku AM/FM-M4.
Zapamiętywanie i wywoływanie kanałów z pamięci M1, M2, M3 i M4 Jeżeli wciśniesz i przytrzymasz przez 2 sek. jeden z powyższych przycisków, zapamiętasz pod nim aktualnie wybrany kanał. Rozlegnie się dwutonowy dźwięk potwierdzenia i na wyświetlaczu pojawi się gwiazdka, korespondująca z odpowiednim adresem pamięci. Wywoływanie zapamiętanego kanału odbywa się przez naciśnięcie FN (5) i przycisku pamięci, którą chcesz wywołać M1, M2, M3 lub M4. Kasowanie zapamiętanego kanału: wciśnij i przytrzymaj przez 2 sek.

Instructiuni de instalare Suport in forma de U Cautati si identificati in masina dvs. locatia cea mai potrivita pentru instalarea statiei. Folositi suportul de montaj din pachet. In momentul fixarii statiei, tineti cont ca aceasta nu trebuie sa deranjeze soferul in timpul condusului, fiind in acelasi timp accesibila, bine ventilata si protejata de razele solare. 1. Instalati suportul folosind suruburile incluse in pachet 2. Pozitionati statia in suport, introduceti suruburile si stringeti-le bine.
Carcasa Din Carcasa permite instalarea statiei in autovehicule dotate de fanta ‘DIN’ Alimentarea Inainte de a incepe aceasta operatiune, asigurati-va ca statia este inchisa. Pe partea din spate a statiei se gaseste un cablu de alimentare bicolor cu un adaptor in care sta siguranta. Cablul poate fi conectat direct la bateria autovehiculului sau poate fi conectat la o mufa de bricheta (nu este inclusa in pachet). ATENTIE: E foarte important sa respectati polaritatea.

PARAM SET 2.1 SCAN MODE Acest parametru permite alegerea modului de reluare a scanarii dupa receptia unui semnal; Sunt doua optiuni: • TI: odata activata, scanarea se opreste pentru cateva secunde pe semnalul receptionat pentru a continua apoi cu scanarea celorlaltor canale; • SQ: odata activata, scanarea se opreste pe semnalul receptionat. Se reia scanarea doar daca dispare semnalul receptionat; 2.2 STEP Aceasta setare permite alegerea pasului de frecventa sau step.
2.4 FUNCTIA DE URGENTA Aceasta functie permite activarea unui apel de urgenta. Cand este activa aceasta functie, se poate trimite un mesaj audio fara sa se apese tasta PTT. Sunt disponibile doua modalitati de urgenta EMG1 si EMG2. Cu EMG1 statia este in transmisie in mod ciclic timp de 180 secunde alternand 20 secunde de emisie si 10 secunde pentru receptie; Cu EMG2 statia este in emisie continua timp de 180 secunde cu ledul rosu aprins si ecranul stins.
