TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING A CALL
IMPORTANT! To communicate between two MXT575 radios or any GMRS
radio, both radios must be set to the same channel and privacy code (see
Selecting a Privacy Code) selections..
1.To transmit a call, press and hold the PTT button on the microphone,
and speak into the microphone in a normal voice.
• The TX/RX LED indicator will illuminate red while your radio is
transmitting.
• The TX icon will show continuously on the LCD display while
transmitting.
• The signal strength indicator on the LCD will display the transmit
signal strength
2.To receive a call, release the PTT button on the microphone.
• The TX/RX LED indicator will illuminate green while your radio is
receiving.
• The RX icon will show continuously on the LCD display while
receiving.
• The signal strength indicator on the LCD will display the receive signal
strength
3. If necessary, press the VOLUME buttons to increase or decrease radio
volume.
NOTE: For maximum clarity, hold the microphone 2 to 3 inches from your
mouth when speaking.
