Installation
Preparing the countertop
Make the countertop cut-out as
shown in the illustration in “Installa-
tion dimensions” or as calculated
(see “Installation” – “Installing several
ProLine elements”). Remember to
maintain the minimum safety dis-
tances (see “Installation” – “Safety
distances”).
Seal any cut surfaces on wooden
countertops with a special varnish,
silicone rubber, or resin to prevent the
wood from swelling as a result of
moisture. The sealant must be tem-
perature-resistant.
Ensure that the sealant does not get
on the top surface of the countertop.
The sealing strip ensures that the
cooktop will sit securely in the cut-out
without slipping. Any gap between the
frame and countertop will become
smaller over time.
Securing the spring clamps and
spacer bars – wooden countertops
b
Position the spring clips or spacer
bars at the top edge of the cut-out
in the positions shown in the illustra-
tions.
Secure the spring clips or spacer
bars with the
1/8"x1" (3.5x25mm) wood screws
supplied.
