Storing food in the DailyFresh drawer
54
The DailyFresh drawers provide good
storage conditions for fruit and veget-
ables.
The humidity level in the upper
DailyFresh drawer can also be regulated
to suit the food being stored. Food re-
tains its own moisture if stored at a
higher humidity and so does not dry out
as quickly. The temperature is approx-
imately equivalent to the temperature in
the fridge zone.
Remember that the fresher the food
when placed in the appliance, the
longer it will stay fresh.
Changing the humidity level in the
DailyFresh drawer for vegetables
The moisture level greatly depends on
the type and quantity of food being
stored, if stored unwrapped.
If the quantity of food being stored in
this compartment is small, the humid-
ity level may be too low.
Tip: If you are only storing a small
amount of food, wrap it in airtight pack-
aging.
Selecting low humidity
By default, the humidity is increased
and the compartment cover pushed
backwards .
Only change this default setting if the
humidity level in the upper DailyFresh
drawer is too high:
Pull the compartment cover forwards
as far as it will go.
The compartment cover is open and the
humidity drops .
Selecting increased humidity
Slide the compartment cover back-
wards as far as it will go.
The compartment cover is closed and
the humidity remains in the compart-
ment .
