Warning and Safety instructions This wine conditioning unit complies with all current local and national safety requirements. Inappropriate use can, however, lead to personal injury and material damage. Read the operating and installation instructions carefully before using the wine conditioning unit. They contain important information on safety, installation, use and maintenance. This is to protect yourself from injury, and from damaging your wine conditioning unit.
Warning and Safety instructions The wine conditioning unit is intended for domestic use only for storing wine. It must not be used for any other purpose. The wine conditioning unit is not suitable for storing and keeping cool medicines, blood plasma, laboratory preparations or other such materials or products. Incorrect use of the wine conditioning unit for such purposes can cause deterioration of the items stored.
Warning and Safety instructions Danger of suffocation! Whilst playing, children could become entangled in packaging (such as plastic wrapping) or pull it over their head and suffocate. Keep packaging material away from children.
Warning and Safety instructions Technical safety The refrigerant circuit has been checked for leaks. The wine conditioning unit complies with statutory safety requirements and the appropriate EU directives. This wine conditioning unit contains the coolant Isobutane (R600a), a natural gas which is environmentally friendly. The coolant does not damage the ozone layer and does not contribute to the greenhouse effect.
Warning and Safety instructions To avoid the risk of damage to the wine conditioning unit, make sure that the connection data (fuse rating, frequency and voltage) on the data plate corresponds to the household supply. Check that this is the case before connecting the wine conditioning unit. Consult a qualified electrician if in any doubt. The electrical safety of the wine conditioning unit can only be guaranteed when correctly earthed. It is essential that this standard safety requirement is met.
Warning and Safety instructions This wine conditioning unit must not be used in a non-stationary location (e.g. on a ship). Do not use a damaged wine conditioning unit. It could be dangerous. Check the wine conditioning unit for visible signs of damage. For safety reasons, this wine conditioning unit may only be used after it has been built in. The wine conditioning unit must be isolated from the electricity supply during installation, maintenance and repair work.
Warning and Safety instructions Correct use The wine conditioning unit is designed for use within a certain climate range (ambient temperatures), and should not be used outside this range. The climate range for your wine conditioning unit is stated on the data plate inside the appliance. Installing it in a room with too low an ambient temperature, e.g. a garage, will lead to the wine conditioning unit switching off for longer periods so that it cannot maintain the required temperature.
Warning and Safety instructions Accessories and spare parts Only use genuine original Miele accessories and spare parts with this appliance. Using accessories or spare parts from other manufacturers will invalidate the warranty, and Miele cannot accept liability. Miele will guarantee to supply functional spare parts for a minimum of 10 years and up to 15 years following the discontinuation of your wine unit.
Warning and Safety instructions Disposing of your old appliance If your old wine unit or refrigeration appliance has a door lock, destroy it. This will prevent the risk of children playing accidentally locking themselves in and endangering their lives. Splashes of coolant can damage the eyes. Be careful not to damage any part of the pipework whilst awaiting disposal, e.g. by - puncturing the coolant channels in the condenser, - bending any pipework, or - scratching the surface coating.
Caring for the environment Disposal of the packing material Disposing of your old appliance The packaging is designed to protect the wine conditioning unit from damage during transportation. The packaging materials used are selected from materials which are environmentally friendly for disposal and should be recycled. Electronic and electrical appliances contain many valuable materials.

Guide to the appliance Using the door-opening mechanism correctly The Push2open system on your wine unit makes it easy to open the appliance door. The appliance door on your wine unit is sensitive to pressure. The Push2open system is deactivated at the factory. The function has to be activated by touching the On/Off sensor once the appliance has been installed in the niche (see “Switching the wine unit on and off”).
Accessories Accessories supplied Chalk Use the chalk to annotate the magnetic strips on the wooden shelves to identify your wines quickly and easily. Optional accessories A range of useful Miele accessories and care products are available for your wine conditioning unit. WiFi stick (Miele@home) The WiFi stick enables your wine conditioning unit to communicate, so that you can access appliance data at any time.
Switching on and off Before using for the first time Packaging material Remove all packaging material from the inside of the appliance. Cleaning the wine unit Please refer to the relevant instructions in “Cleaning and care”. Clean the inside of the appliance and the accessories. Operating the wine conditioning unit A light touch of the finger on the sensors is all that is required to operate this wine conditioning unit. Every touch of a sensor is confirmed with an audible tone.
Switching on and off The interior lighting will come on when the door is opened. Switching the wine unit off Selecting settings A different setting can be set for each wine conditioning zone. Touch the sensor for the wine conditioning zone you want to adjust the settings for. The sensor that has been selected is highlighted in yellow. Now you can - Set the temperature, and - Switch on the DynaCool function. Tip: Please refer to the relevant sections for more information. Touch the On/Off control.
Switching on and off Switching off for longer periods of time If the wine unit is not going to be used for a longer period of time: Switch the wine unit off. Switch off at the wall and withdraw the plug from the socket, or disconnect the fuse. Clean the wine unit. Leave the door ajar to air the wine unit and avoid odours building up inside it. If the wine unit is switched off, but not cleaned, during a long absence and the door is left shut, there is a risk of mould building up inside the appliance.
Selecting further settings Certain settings on the wine conditioning unit can only be selected in settings mode. The door alarm is automatically disabled when the appliance is in settings mode.
Selecting further settings Audible tones The wine conditioning unit has audible tones such as the keypad tone and the door and temperature alarms. You can switch the keypad tone or the door alarm tone on or off but you cannot deactivate the temperature alarm. There are four settings to choose from. Option 3 is set the factory, i.e. the keypad tone and the door alarm are switched on.
Selecting further settings Display brightness The display brightness can be adjusted to suit lighting conditions in the room. The display brightness can be adjusted in steps from 1 to 3. The factory default setting is 3 (maximum brightness). Altering the display brightness By touching the or sensor you can now alter the brightness of the display: 1: dimmest setting 2: medium setting 3: brightest setting. Touch the settings sensor.
The optimum temperature and air quality Wine keeps on maturing depending on the surrounding conditions. The length of time for which wine can be kept in good condition will therefore depend not only on the temperature but also on the air quality. Fluctuations in temperature put wine under stress and interrupt the maturing process. It is therefore very important to maintain a constant temperature.
The optimum temperature and air quality Safety device in case of low ambient temperatures The appliance is equipped with a safety thermostat to protect your wine against a sharp drop in temperature. If the external temperature should fall, a heater element switches on automatically to keep the temperature inside as constant as possible. If the ambient temperature continues to fall, the appliance switches itself off automatically.
The optimum temperature and air quality - Touching a sensor once: The last temperature selected flashes. - Each subsequent touch of the sensor: Adjusts the temperature shown in 1 °C increments. - Leaving a finger on the sensor: Changes the temperature continuously. A negative tone will sound (if the keypad tone is switched on) when the lowest or highest possible temperature is reached.
The optimum temperature and air quality Air quality and humidity In most refrigerators the humidity is too low for wine and therefore a refrigerator is not suitable for wine storage. High humidity levels are necessary when storing wine to moisten corks from the outside. When the humidity is too low the corks dry out and the bottle is no longer tightly sealed. For this reason wine bottles should always be stored horizontally to ensure that corks are also kept moist from the inside.
The optimum temperature and air quality Switching off DynaCool The wine conditioning unit uses slightly more energy and is a little noisier when the DynaCool function is switched on. You can switch it off now and then if you wish. Touch the sensor for switching the DynaCool function on and off so that it is no longer highlighted in yellow. Air filtration with the Active AirClean filter The Active AirClean filter achieves optimum air quality by filtering the incoming air.
Temperature and door alarm This wine conditioning unit is equipped with an alarm system so that the temperature cannot rise or fall unnoticed, thus possibly damaging the wine. Temperature alarm If the temperature in one of the wine conditioning zones rises or falls by a certain amount, the sensor for that zone will flash in the control panel and at the same time the alarm symbol will flash in the display. An audible alarm will also sound. Touch the sensor for switching off the temperature alarm.
Temperature and door alarm Door alarm An alarm will sound if the appliance door has been left open for longer than approx. 2 minutes. The sensors for the wine conditioning zones will flash in the control panel. The alarm symbol lights up in the display. As soon as the door is closed, the alarm will stop. The sensors for the wine conditioning zones and the alarm symbol will go out in the control panel.
Feature lighting The interior lighting can be set to remain on when the door is closed so your wines can be on display at all times. Setting the brightness of the feature lighting The brightness of the feature lighting can be adjusted. Each wine conditioning zone has its own lighting strip so that all zones are illuminated. Thanks to the use of LED lighting, the wine will not be adversely affected by heat or UV light.
Feature lighting Lighting duration of the feature lighting Touch the OK sensor to confirm your choice. The set brightness is saved to memory. The temperature display then appears again. As soon as the appliance door is closed, the set brightness for the feature lighting takes effect. When the appliance door is opened, the interior lighting returns to its normal level. The lighting duration for the feature lighting is set to 30 minutes as standard.
Feature lighting By touching the sensor - lighting duration is reduced by 30 minutes - lighting duration is increased by 30 minutes. Touch the OK sensor to confirm your choice. The selected lighting duration is saved and the temperature reappears in the display. The lighting duration set starts anew whenever the appliance door is opened and closed. Risk of injury from LED lighting. This lighting corresponds to risk group RG 2. If the cover is defective, there is a risk of eye injury.
Storing wine bottles Vibration and movement have a negative effect on the maturing process, which can in turn affect the taste of the wine. To avoid disturbing other bottles when removing a bottle of wine, store bottles of the same type beside each other on the same shelf. Avoid stacking bottles on top of one another on the wooden shelves. Always place the bottles in a horizontal position so that the natural corks can be kept moist on the inside and air is prevented from getting into the bottles.
Storing wine bottles Wooden shelves Moving the wooden shelves The wooden shelves can be removed and replaced again if required. The wooden shelves are on telescopic runners which can be pulled out to make it easier to store and remove bottles. Pull the wooden shelf out until it stops . Release the wooden shelf at the back, lifting the shelf on the left and right at the same time . Lift the wooden shelf forwards to remove it. To replace the shelf, place it on the extended rails.
Storing wine bottles Adjusting the wooden shelves The slats in the wooden shelves can be individually adjusted to suit, so that every bottle is stored in perfect safety regardless of shape or size. Slide the wooden shelf back into the appliance as far as it will go . Push the wooden shelf right back so that it clicks into place at the front. Press down on the back of the wooden shelf until it clicks into place at the back .
Storing wine bottles Annotating wooden shelves For quick and easy identification of the wines stored, you can write on the blackboard-painted surface on the magnetic strips on the wooden shelves. Use the chalk supplied. You can write directly on the magnetic strip or remove it from the wooden shelf. To do so: Fold out the rear struts of the 3D bottle presenter. Hold the magnetic strip by the sides and pull it forwards. The magnetic strip is held on the wooden shelf by magnets.
Storing wine bottles If you do not wish to use the 3D bottle presenter for presentation purposes or would like to make use of the maximum storage capacity of your wine conditioning unit, simply fold down the rear struts. Place the 3D bottle presenter flat on the floor of the wine conditioning unit and push it back until it touches the back wall of the appliance. When placing wine bottles on the 3D bottle presenter, make sure that you push them carefully back as far as they will go.
Storing wine bottles Maximum capacity Risk of damage! With 3D bottle presenter set up Do not exceed the maximum loadbearing capacity of 25 kg for each wooden shelf. Do not stack bottles on the wooden shelves. Exception: you can stack bottles on the 3D bottle presenter when it is folded down in the bottom of the appliance. With 3D bottle presenter folded down Up to 20 Bordeaux-type bottles (0.75 litres) can be stored in the wine unit, with 10 in the upper zone and 10 bottles in the lower zone.
Automatic defrosting The wine conditioning unit defrosts automatically.
Cleaning and care Do not let water get into the electronic unit or the lighting. Risk of damage due to moisture ingress. The steam from a steam cleaner can damage plastic and and electrical components. Do not use a steam cleaner to clean the wine conditioning unit. The data plate located inside the wine conditioning unit must not be removed. It contains information which is required in the event of a service call.
Cleaning and care Before cleaning the wine unit Switch the wine unit off. Take any wine bottles out of the wine unit and store them in a cool place. Take out all other removable parts for cleaning. Remove the magnetic strips from the wooden shelves before cleaning them. Interior, accessories and appliance door Clean the wine conditioning unit at least once a month. Remove soiling immediately to prevent it from drying on.
Cleaning and care Cleaning the ventilation gaps A build-up of dust will increase the energy consumption of the appliance. The ventilation gaps should be cleaned on a regular basis with a brush or vacuum cleaner (you could use a Miele vacuum cleaner dusting brush, for example). After cleaning Replace all shelves and accessories in the wine conditioning unit. Reconnect to the mains and switch the wine conditioning unit back on.
Active AirClean filters Fresh air from the room enters the wine conditioning unit through the Active AirClean filter. Filtering the incoming air through the Active AirClean filter ensures that all the air entering the appliance is fresh and free from dust and odours. The reminder to change the Active AirClean filter will appear every 12 months at the latest. Insert the new filter. When the Change Active AirClean filter symbol lights up in the display, the Active AirClean filter needs to be changed.
Active AirClean filters To confirm the filters have been changed Touch the OK sensor to confirm your selection. Touch the settings sensor. All symbols available for selection will appear in the display and the symbol flashes. Touch the sensors for setting the temperature ( or ) repeatedly until the symbol flashes. The selected setting is applied, the symbol flashes. Touch the settings sensor to leave settings mode.
Problem solving guide Many malfunctions and faults that can occur in daily operation can be easily remedied. Time and money will be saved because a service call will not be needed. The following guide may help you to find the reason for a malfunction or a fault, and to correct it. To prevent cold from escaping, open the appliance as little as possible until the fault has been corrected.

Service Contact in the event of a fault EPREL database In the event of any faults which you cannot remedy yourself, please contact your Miele dealer or the Miele Customer Service Department. From 1 March 2021, information on energy labelling and ecodesign requirements will be available in the European Product Database (EPREL). You can find the product database at the following link https://eprel.ec.europa.eu/. You will be asked to enter the model identifier.
*INSTALLATION* Installation Installation site Risk of damage and injury from the wine unit tipping over. The wine unit is very heavy and can tip forwards when the appliance door is open. Keep the appliance door shut until the wine unit has been built in and secured in its building-in niche in accordance with these operating and installation instructions. Risk of damage due to heavy weight. If the wine unit is installed above a vacuum sealing drawer, this may cause damage to the vacuum sealing drawer.
*INSTALLATION* Installation Risk of damage. The wine unit has an elongated glass door and must not be set down vertically at any time.
*INSTALLATION* Installation This appliance should be installed in a dry, well-ventilated room. When deciding on the installation site, please bear in mind that the energy consumption increases if the wine unit is installed near to a heater, a cooker or another appliance that gives off heat. Direct sunlight should also be avoided. The higher the room temperature, the longer the compressor runs and the higher the energy consumption is.
*INSTALLATION* Installation Climate range Ventilation The wine conditioning unit is designed for use within a certain climate range (ambient temperatures) and should not be used outside this range. The climate range of the wine conditioning unit is stated on the data plate inside it.
*INSTALLATION* Installation Air intake occurs via the plinth at the bottom of the appliance and the air escapes at the top at the back of the housing unit. The ventilation gap at the top of the appliance can be constructed in different ways: - A ventilation gap of at least 40 mm depth must be allowed for behind the appliance for air to circulate.
*INSTALLATION* Installation Installation dimensions The mains connection cable is 2000 mm long. The socket must be easily accessible in an emergency, not concealed behind the appliance.
*INSTALLATION* Installation Adjusting the door hinges Changing the door hinging The door hinges on the wine conditioning unit are set ex-works to enable the appliance door to be opened wide. The wine conditioning unit is supplied right-hinged. If left-hand hinging is required, the hinges must be changed. However if the opening angle of the appliance door needs to be limited for any reason, the hinge can be adjusted to accommodate this.

Carefully place the dismantled appliance door on a soft surface. Now undo the screws completely. Caution. Ensure that the hinges do not close. Tip: Take care not to let the screws that you have loosened fall through the slits in the appliance door. Unscrew cover .
*INSTALLATION* Installation Tip: Take care not to let the screws that you have loosened fall through the slits in the appliance door. Unscrew the transport safety device from the bottom of the appliance. Place the screws to one side. They will be needed later on. Take off the upper retaining bracket and refit it on the opposite side. 64 Remove the stopper from the appliance door. Remove the spacer from the appliance door, rotate it 180° and fit it on the opposite side.
*INSTALLATION* Installation Unscrew the mounting plate from hinge A and then screw it onto hinge B. Unscrew the hinges from the appliance door. Unscrew the mounting plate from hinge B and then screw it onto hinge A.

*INSTALLATION* Installation 18 Check that the wine unit is standing securely in the building-in niche and that the appliance door closes properly. Installing the wine conditioning unit Before installing the wine conditioning unit Take any accessories out of the appliance. Fit the screws loosely through hinges at the top and bottom. Refit the appliance door and then tighten the screws, first at the bottom, then at the top.
*INSTALLATION* Installation Risk of damage and injury from wine conditioning unit tipping over. There is an increased risk of injury and damage if the wine conditioning unit is installed by a single person. Two people are required for installing the wine conditioning unit. The following parts are supplied with the wine conditioning unit: All installation parts are number coded. This coding is also used in the installation instructions.
*INSTALLATION* Installation All fitting instructions given are for a right-hinged appliance. If you have converted the appliance to left hand hinging you will need to adapt these instructions accordingly. Setting up the wine conditioning unit Feed the power cable through to the socket. Risk of damage. The wine conditioning unit has an elongated glass door and must not be set down vertically at any time. Fire hazard due to short circuit.
*INSTALLATION* Installation Slide the filler panel supplied from the front into the holders on the wine conditioning unit as shown. Push the wine conditioning unit two thirds of the way into the building-in niche. If the wine conditioning unit is lefthinged, allow for the position of the lug (see illustration above). Turn the front adjustable feet all the way in using the spanner supplied.
*INSTALLATION* Installation Unscrew the transport safety device from the front of the wine conditioning unit, if you have not already done so. Tip: Keep this device in a safe place for refitting should the appliance need to be moved in the future. Remove top cover . With 16 mm thick unit walls only: 5 6 Clip spacers and supplied on the right-hand side of the hinges. Open the appliance door.
*INSTALLATION* Installation Fit the stopper supplied onto the fixing bracket also supplied. Screw the supplied fixing bracket loosely with the screws supplied into the bottom of the wine conditioning unit. Do not tighten the screws so that you can adjust the position of this part. Remove the edge protection from all sides of the door. Push the appliance two thirds of the way into the building-in niche.
*INSTALLATION* Installation Installing the wine conditioning unit If the wine conditioning unit is pushed too far into the niche, the door will not close properly. This can cause ice to build up, condensate to accumulate and lead to faults in the appliance. These can all lead to increased energy consumption. Push the wine conditioning unit into the building-in niche, making sure a gap of 42 mm is maintained all round between the appliance carcase and the front of the housing unit side walls.
*INSTALLATION* Installation 1. This will create a gap all round of 42 mm to the front edges of the housing unit side walls. Close the appliance door and align the wine conditioning unit flush with the surrounding cabinetry, pulling the wine conditioning unit forwards if necessary. 2. Push the hinged side of the appliance to the housing unit wall.

Pull the door seal back a little from the bottom corner of the door and remove19the cover .
