Cleaning the sole plate of the
iron
,
Caution. Danger of burning. The
sole plate of the iron remains hot for
some time after ironing. Allow it to
cool down before starting to clean it.

Switch the appliance off and
disconnect it from the electricity
supply before cleaning the iron sole
plate.
Depending on the level of soiling, the
sole plate can be wiped with a wet or
dry E-cloth (see "Optional
accessories").
To avoid damaging the shiny surface
of the sole plate, do not use:
–
abrasive cleaning agents, e.g.
powder cleaners and cream
cleaners, chrome polish,
–
hard, abrasive brushes or sponges,
e.g. pot scourers, or sponges which
have been previously used with
abrasive cleaning agents,
–
sharp or pointed objects.
