Children older than eight may only use the steam ironing system unsupervised if they have been shown how to use it in a safe way, and recognise and understand the consequences of incorrect operation. Children must not be allowed to clean or maintain the steam ironing system unsupervised.
Warning and Safety instructions Technical safety Before setting up the steam ironing system, inspect it visually for any external damage. Never use a damaged steam ironing system. A damaged steam ironing system can be dangerous! Check the iron of the steam ironing system for damage. Do not use the iron if it has been dropped, if there is any visible damage or if it is leaking.
Warning and Safety instructions The electrical safety of this steam ironing system can only be guaranteed when correctly earthed. It is essential that this standard safety requirement is met. If in any doubt, please have the wiring system of the building tested by a qualified electrician. Miele cannot be held liable for the consequences of an inadequate earthing system (e.g. electric shock).
Warning and Safety instructions The steam ironing system must be isolated from the electricity supply during installation, maintenance and repair work. The steam ironing system is only considered disconnected from the power supply if: - the power plug of the steam ironing system is unplugged, or - the mains circuit breaker is switched off, or - the mains screw-out fuse is removed (in countries where this is applicable).
