- Use a pan lid whenever possible to
minimize heat loss.
- Wide, shallow pans are preferable to
tall, narrow ones. They will heat up
faster.
- Cook with as little water as possible.
- Reduce the size of the flame once the
water has come to the boil or the oil
is hot enough to fry in.
- Use a pressure cooker to reduce
cooking times.
