Ventilation
Condensation water can damage the
co
ffee system or surrounding cabi‐
nets.
The specified ventilation cross-sec‐
tio
ns absolutely must be observed.
Do not cover or block the ventilation
cr
oss-sections.
Clean the ventilation cross-sections
on
a regular basis.
Due to the heating of water, water
st
eam can condense inside the coffee
system and inside the door.
During installation, ensure there is suffi‐
cien
t ventilation at the rear of the appli‐
ance so that steam and warm air are
able to escape without hindrance.
The surrounding cabinets should be de‐
signed as follows:
– Air intake occurs via the plinth at
the bott
om of the appliance and the
air escapes at the top at the rear
of the surrounding cabinets.
– A ventilation gap of at least 1 5/8"
(40 mm) dep
th must be provided be‐
hind the appliance for air to circulate.
– The ventilation cross-sections in the
plinth
, surrounding cabinets and
above the appliance must amount to
at least 78 3/4 square inches
(200 cm
2
) to ensure that air can cir‐
culate without obstruction.
Top ventilation cross-section
The ventilation cross section at the top
of the appliance ca
n be constructed in
different ways:
a
directly above the coffee system
with a ventilati
on grille (free airflow
of at least 78 3/4 square inches /
200 cm
2
)
b
between the surrounding cabinets
and the ceiling
c
through a suspended ceiling
