Operation
To switch on the fan
^ Open the vapour canopy.
The fan will come on at power level 2.
^ Press the appropriate button to select
the power level required.
Depending on the intensity of the
vapours, levels 1-3 are usually sufficient
for normal cooking.
Intensive setting
The Intensive (IS) setting can be used
for short periods of cooking food with
intensive vapours and a strong aroma,
e.g. when searing meat.
^ Press the IS button to select the
Intensive setting.
^ Press the IS button again to switch
the Intensive setting off. The fan will
revert to the previously selected level
1-3.
If you do not switch off the Intensive
setting, the fan will automatically revert
to the previously selected level after 5
minutes.
It is advisable to run the fan for a few
minutes after cooking has finished to
neutralise any lingering odours in the
air, whether you are using air extraction
or recirculation mode.
^ To switch the fan off
– close the vapour canopy, or
– press the OFF button for longer.
To switch on the lighting
^ The lighting comes on when you
open the canopy and switches off
when you close it.
If there is an interruption to the
power supply, the fan and the
lighting will switch off automatically.
Once power has been restored, the
fan will come on at level 2 and the
lighting will switch on again when
the vapour canopy is opened.
