Switching the fan on and off
Switch the fan on as soon as you start
cooking. This is to ensure that vapours
are captured right from the start.
For light to heavy cooking vapours and
odours, select from power levels 1 to 3.
For short periods of cooking food with
intensive vapours and a strong aroma,
e.g. when searing meat, select Booster
settingB.
Switch the fan on with the fan
switch and select the power level
you want.
The cooker hood will get hot if you
cook at very high temperatures.
Excessive temperatures may dam-
age the range hood.
Always switch the cooker hood on
when a cooking zone is in use.
The cooker hood is fitted with a tem-
perature sensor. If a fan level that is
too low is selected, the cooker hood
automatically switches to the Booster
level temporarily. This occurs even if
the cooker hood is switched off.
Switching the fan off
It is advisable to run the fan for a few
minutes after cooking has finished to
neutralise any lingering vapours and
odours in the air.
Turn the fan switch to 0.
Switching the hob lighting on/
off
The hob lighting can be switched on
and off independently of the fan.
Use the lighting switch to switch
the hob lighting on (1) or off (0).
