Operating the Ice/Water dispenser
87
The Ice/Water dispenser requires a
plumbed water connection in order for
it to operate (see “Installation –
Plumbed water connection”).
If you do not dispense chilled water or
ice from the Ice/Water dispenser for a
longer period of time, the water/ice
may be stale. Regularly dispense wa-
ter/ice in order to achieve the best wa-
ter quality.
Risk of injury from broken glass.
Use a sturdy container for collecting
water and ice cubes.
Risk of injury due to incorrect
handling.
Risk of injury from holding your
hands under the Ice/Water dis-
penser.
Do not hold your hands under the
Ice/Water dispenser.
Risk of injury due to incorrect
handling.
Risk of injury from reaching into the
discharge opening of the ice con-
tainer.
Never reach into the discharge open-
ing of the ice container.
Risk to health due to contami-
nated water.
Consuming polluted water can lead
to illnesses.
The first 5glasses of chilled water as
well as the first 30–40ice cubes
made after the Ice/Water dispenser
is started up must not be consumed,
as the water will have been used for
the initial rinse through the water
supply line.
This applies to the initial commis-
sioning as well as when using the
appliance again after it has been
turned off for a long while.
Risk of damage due to blocking
of the ice maker.
The ice maker could become
blocked and, as a result, be dam-
aged.
Do not place any bottles or food into
the ice maker to chill them quickly.
If the Ice/Water dispenser is not used
again within 2minutes or if the appli-
ance door is opened, the Ice/Water
dispenser will switch to standby mode
automatically and the lighting will go
out.
After it has been activated again, it
can take a few seconds before chilled
water and ice are dispensed again.
