Cleaning and emptying the ice
container
Clean the ice container regularly.
This ensures that fresh ice cubes are
always produced.
Empty the ice container on a regular
basis. This prevents ice cubes from
freezing together.
The ice container is very heavy when
full. Pull it out using both hands.
Open the appliance door.
Lift the ice container with both hands
and pull it forward to remove it from
the appliance.
Empty it and rinse it with warm water.
Dry the container thoroughly so that
new ice cubes will not freeze onto the
surfaces.
To reinsert the ice container, push it
into the appliance until it clicks into
position.
If you cannot push the ice container
back in all the way, turn the screw
conveyor inside a little.
Cleaning the drip tray
The drip tray catches excess water.
To avoid a build-up of odor, the drip
tray should be cleaned every day.
Remove the drip-tray cover.
Remove the drip tray and clean it.
Dry the drip tray with a cloth.
Replace the drip tray and the drip-
tray cover.
Cleaning the door seal
Risk of damage as a result of in-
correct cleaning.
If you treat the door seal with oil or
grease, it can become porous.
Do not use oil or grease on the door
seal.
The door seals should be cleaned
regularly with clean water, and then
wiped dry with a soft cloth.
Cleaning the ventilation gaps
A build-up of dust will increase the en-
ergy consumption of the appliance.
The ventilation gaps should be
cleaned on a regular basis with a
brush or vacuum cleaner (you could
use a Miele Vacuum Cleaner dust
brush, for example).
