Alarm / Indicator warnings
Issue Possible fault Solution
The alarm is going off. The appliance door(s)
have been open for
longer than 5 minutes.
Close the door.
The alarm is ringing and
the "alarm" indicator is
flashing.
The door is not closed. Once the alarm condition
has been corrected, the
alarm will turn off and the
"alarm" indicator will go
out.
The temperature indicator
will indicate the highest
temperature reached
during the alarm. Check
that food has not
defrosted.
A large amount of fresh
food is being frozen at the
same time.
There has been a power
failure.
The filter display is red. This is a warning that the
water filter needs to be
changed soon.
Order replacement filters
from Miele.
The filter display is
flashing red.
The water filter needs to
be changed.

The "Lock" indicator
flashes in the display.
The drip tray for the
Ice/Water Dispenser is
full.
Empty the drip tray by
soaking up the water with
a sponge or dish cloth.
The control panel has
fogged up.
The heating element
behind the panel is
turned off.

Problems with the ice/water dispenser
Issue Possible fault Solution
The ice maker will not
switch on.
The appliance is not
plugged in.
Check that the appliance
is connected to the power
supply.
After turning on the
Ice/Water dispenser it is
not working.
This is not a fault. After opening and closing the door
it can take a few seconds to operate.
