Transmission of the core temperature to
the oven electronics occurs via radio
signal between the transmitter in the
handle of the probe and the receiver
antenna in the back panel, as soon as
you place the food in the oven with the
food probe inserted.
Efficient radio transmission is only
guaranteed if the oven door is closed. If
the door is opened during a cooking
process, e.g. to baste the food, radio
signal transmission is interrupted. It will
only resume when the door is closed. It
will take a few seconds before the
current core temperature appears again
in the display.
The temperature sensor will be
damaged at temperatures over
100°C. However there is no danger
of damage occurring if it is inserted
into food as the maximum core
temperature that can be set is 99°C.
If you are not using the food probe,
do not leave it in the oven during
cooking. Always put it back into the
storage sleeve in the door.
When to use the food probe
Some automatic programmes and
special applications will prompt you to
use the food probe.
You can also use the food probe with
User programmes and with the
following functions:

Intensive bake
Conventional heat
Moisture plus + Auto roast
Moisture plus + Fan plus
Moisture plus + Intensive bake
