Heating up the oven for the
first time and rinsing the steam
injection system
New ovens can give off unpleasant
odors when they are used for the first
time. Heating up both ovens for at least
1 hour with nothing in them will
eliminate these smells. It is a good idea
to rinse the steam injection system at
the same time.
Ensure that the kitchen is well
ventilated when heating up the
ovens.
Close doors to other rooms to
prevent the smells from spreading
through the house.
Remove any adhesive labels or
protective films from the ovens and
accessories.
Before heating up the ovens, wipe the
interiors with a damp cloth to remove
any dust or pieces of packaging that
may have accumulated during
storage and unpacking.
Place all trays and racks in the
interiors.
Heating the upper oven for the first
time
Turn the oven on.
The main menu for the upper oven
appears.
Select Operating Modes.
Select the Moisture Plus mode.
The default temperature (350 °F/160 °C)
is displayed.
The oven heating, lighting and cooling
fan will turn on.
Set the highest possible temperature
(475 °F/250 °C).
Confirm with OK.
Select Automatic burst of steam.
After a short time, a burst of steam is
injected automatically.
Risk of injury!
Steam can cause scalding.
Do not open the door during a steam
burst.
Heating the lower oven for the first
time
Select the “Lower” button.
Select Operating Modes.
Select the Convection Bake
mode.

is displayed.

fan will turn on.
Set the highest possible temperature
(475 °F/250 °C).

After at least one hour:

button.
