Door panel
The required door panel must be min.
5/8” (16mm) and max. 3/4” (19mm)
thick.
Weight of the door panel
If the door panel is too heavy,
this can cause damage!
Installing a door panel which is heav-
ier than the maximum permitted
weight could damage the hinges.
This can cause subsequent func-
tional problems.
Before installing the door panel, ensure
that the weight of the door does not ex-
ceed the maximum permitted:

Calculation of cabinet door size
The width of the cabinet door de-
pends on the style of the kitchen and
the gap between the unit door panels.
When calculating the height of the
cabinet door, remember that the top
edge of the door must be at the same
height as that of the doors of the adja-
cent units.
The following gaps are required:
– The horizontal gap between the cabi-
net door and the cupboard door
above it must be at least 1/8" (3mm).
– The vertical gap between the cabinet
doors should be approx. 1/8" (3mm).
The exact value will depend on the
radius of the edge of the cabinet
door.
The cabinet door must be fitted cor-
rectly and not under tension.
