Building in the appliance

Aligning the installation niche
The installation niche must be carefully
aligned using a level before installing
the appliance. The niche corners must
be at 90°angles to each other, other-
wise the cabinet door will not sit
straight on all four corners.
– The side panels of the installation
niche must be even.
– The surrounding walls of the installa-
tion niche must be at least
5/8” (16mm) thick.
– The surrounding walls must be se-
curely fixed to the floor or wall.
– The shortened side walls must be at
least 4" (100mm) thick.
– The baseboard must be at least
1/2” (13mm) thick (preferably
3/4” (19mm)).
Checking the installation
space
Check the installation dimensions.
Check the position of the electrical
and plumbing connections.
Check that all adjacent cabinets /
units are securely fixed to the wall.
Check the adjacent cabinets / units
for possible collisions when opening
doors (door opening angle).
