Mains water connection
81
A faulty stainless steel hose must
only be replaced by a genuine ori-
ginal Miele replacement hose (avail-
able from Miele). Make sure the wa-
ter hose is suitable for food use.
A stopcock must be provided between
the stainless steel hose and the house-
hold water supply to ensure that the
water supply can be cut off if neces-
sary.
The stopcock should be easily ac-
cessible after the appliance has been
built in.
Connection to the water inlet
Before making plumbing connec-
tions, ensure the appliance is discon-
nected from the mains electricity
supply.
Connection to the mains water supply
should incorporate a mains stopcock
with ¾" thread.
Before using the appliance for the first
time the water inlet pipe should be
purged of air by a qualified and com-
petent person.
– The stainless steel hose should be
filled with as much water as possible
immediately before connecting to the
solenoid valve.
– Mop up any spillages with a cloth.
Connect the straight end of the stain-
less steel hose to the water shut-off
valve.
Ensure that it is screwed into posi-
tion correctly.
