The compressor comes on less and less often and for shorter periods of
time, the temperature in the appliance rises.
Problem Possible cause Solution
The temperature in
the appliance is too
high.
This is not a fault.
^ Correct the temperature
setting.
^ Check the temperature
again after 24 hours.
The food begins to
thaw.
The room temperature is
too low for this appliance.
The compressor runs less
often if the room
temperature is too low.
Therefore it may become
too warm in the freezer
section.

^ Increase the room
temperature.
Indication in the display
Problem Possible cause Solution
The temperature
display for the
freezer section
shows two dashes.
The temperature is only
displayed if it is below 32°F
(0°C).
^ Check the temperature
display approx. 6 hours
after the appliance is
turned on.
The temperature in the
appliance rose to above
32°F (0°C) in the past days
or hours because of a
power outage.
