Cool controls - Various Controls to ensure perfect food storage condition
Creating the perfect environment for the storage of food is the main purpose of any refrigerator or freezer. Miele refrigeration utilises the
latest technology in a range of control types to ensure that not only is the internal environment created as efficiently as possible, but that it
is also maintained, thus ensuring food is stored in the best possible conditions.
Sophisticated controls at the front of the appliances feature temperature indication in the form of LED indicators or a simple digital display.
Other features offered on these appliances include Super Cool and Super Freeze, as well as Dynamic Cooling.
The majority of appliances feature fully electronic controls with highly accurate temperature selection and monitoring. On most fridge-freezers,
the fridge and freezer sections can be independently controlled. This allows you to turn off the fridge and leave the freezer running while
cleaning or on holiday. These appliances also feature Super Cool and Super Freeze, as well as Dynamic Cooling. For added peace of
mind, these appliances have an alarm and a safety lock is also featured to prevent settings being altered by mistake.
Soft-close door
A large number of models
feature a soft-close door
mechanism. This system
effectively dampens door movement and
allows controlled opening and closing of
the door, even with heavy furniture doors
fitted.

Dynamic Cooling
Due to the natural circulation of the air in the appliance, there are different temperature zones in the refrigerator. Cold, heavy
air sinks to the lowest section of the appliance and warmer air will rise nearer the top. This has a bearing on where to place
food to obtain the optimum results.
The Miele Dynamic Cooling system over comes natural temperature imbalances by circulating cold air around the appliance.
This constant flow of air enables the temperature inside the appliance to be maintained at the same level throughout. This allows you to
fully utilise all of the internal space and store food anywhere in the fridge.
An additional benefit of Dynamic Cooling is that food and drinks will be chilled up to 50% quicker than in a conventional refrigerator
without this feature.
Safety lock
Some appliances are fitted with a safety
lock. When activated settings cannot be
altered giving you the reassurance that
your food will be stored at the correct
temperature.
Alarm
Acoustic and visual alarms are
incorporated within the electronics. A
warning tone sounds and the display will
flash if the door is left open for longer
than approximately 60 seconds, or if
there has been a power cut, causing the
internal temperature to rise above the
desired level.
Super Cool & Super Freeze
The Super Cool and Super Freeze
functions will, at the touch of a button,
rapidly reduce the interior temperature
to the coldest level to ensure that the
temperature of fresh produce is reduced
as quickly as possible. This setting
should be selected a few hours before
restocking the appliance with new
groceries. By freezing food as quickly as
possible, the consistency and texture of
the food is maintained when defrosted.
These functions will automatically
switch off after a number of hours if not
deactivated manually.
