Ignition safety
The cooktop is equipped with an igni-
tion safety device. If a gas flame is ex-
tinguished (e.g., by food boiling over or
by a draft) and re-ignition does not
work, the gas supply is switched off.
This prevents the release of gas. If you
turn the knob to the position, the
burner is ready for use again.
The flame failure device operates inde-
pendently from the electricity supply.
This means that it will still work if the
cooktop is used during a power out-
age.
