Warning and Safety instructions

The electrical safety of this microwave oven can only be guaran-
teed when continuity is complete between it and an effective earth-
ing system. It is essential that this standard safety requirement is met
to avoid the risk of damage or electric shock. If in any doubt, please
have the electrical installation tested by a qualified electrician.
Do not situate the appliance too close to an adjacent furniture
unit. To ensure adequate ventilation, a minimum of gap of 5cm is re-
quired between the appliance and any neighbouring furniture or
walls. There must be a minimum gap of 19.5cm between the top of
the appliance and anything above it.
Unauthorised or incorrect repairs can cause considerable danger
to users. Repairs may only be carried out by a Miele authorised tech-
nician or by the Miele Customer Service Department.
While the microwave oven is under warranty, repairs should only
be undertaken by a Miele authorised service technician. Otherwise
the warranty is invalidated.
The microwave oven must be disconnected from the mains power
supply during repairs or cleaning and maintenance. It is only com-
pletely isolated from the electricity supply when:
– the plug has been disconnected from the back of the appliance or
the appliance has been switched off at the wall socket and the plug
withdrawn.
Pull by the plug and not by the mains connection cable to discon-
nect your appliance from the mains electricity supply.
– the mains circuit breaker is switched off.
– the mains screw-out fuse is removed (in countries where this is ap-
plicable).
Miele can only guarantee the safety of the appliance when genuine
original Miele replacement parts are used. Faulty components must
only be replaced by genuine Miele original spare parts.
