Carrots in a chervil cream
sauce

Ingredients
3/4 lb (350g) carrots | sliced
1tsp butter
1/4 cup (50ml) vegetable stock
1/4 lb (75g) crème fraîche
1tbsp white wine
½tsp sugar
½tsp salt
1tbsp cornstarch
½tsp mustard
1–2tbsp chervil, fresh | chopped

Total time required: 35minutes
Method
Place the carrots in a bowl along with
the butter and vegetable stock.
Mix together the crème fraîche, white
wine, sugar, salt, cornstarch, mustard,
and chervil. Season with pepper to
taste. Add the sauce to the vegetables
and stir.
Place the food on the turntable,
ensuring it is covered, and cook.
When a signal sounds, stir the
vegetables immediately.

Red berry fruit compote

Ingredients
3/4 lb (400g) red berries (e.g.,
strawberries, raspberries), fresh or
frozen
1/2 cup (100ml) water
1/4 cup (50ml) strawberry syrup
1–2tbsp cornstarch
4 tsp (20ml) crème de cassis

Method
Place the berries in a bowl along with
the water and strawberry syrup.
Mix the cornstarch with 2tbsp water
and the crème de cassis, and add to
the berries.
Place the food on the turntable,
ensuring it is covered, and cook.
