Opening the drum door during
a power failure
 Turn off the washing machine.
 Press the drain pump flap to open.
The flap will spring open.
Blocked drain outlet
If the drain outlet is blocked, a larger
quantity of water can remain in the
washing machine.
 Danger of scalding if laundry has
been washed at a high temperature!
Be careful when draining the suds.
Draining the washing machine
When draining water from the
machine, do not unscrew the drain
filters completely or take them right
out.
 Place a suitable container under the
flap, e.g., a Miele universal oven tray.
 Slowly unscrew the drain filters to let
the water out.
 Tighten the drain filters back up again
if you need to interrupt the flow of
water.
Once the flow of water stops:
 Remove the drain filters completely.
