The door will not open
Problem Possible cause and solution
The door cannot be
pulled open during a
program.
The door is locked during the wash program.
 Touch the Start/Stopsensor control.
 Select Cancel programor Add laundry.
The door will unlock and you will be able to pull it
open.
There is still water in the drum and the machine is un-
able to drain.
 Clean the drainage system as described under
“Opening the door in the event of a blocked drain
outlet and/or power outage”.
At the end of a program
or when a program is
canceled, the following
appears in the display:
Cooling downorComfort
cooling
.
To protect the user against scalding, the door cannot
be opened if the suds temperature is higher than
130°F (55°C).
 Wait until the temperature in the drum has de-
creased and the message has gone out in the dis-
play.
The following appears
in the display:
The door lock is jammed.
Contact Service.
The door lock has jammed.
 Contact Technical Service.
