Reliable and safe operation of this vacuum cleaner can only be assured if it has been connected to the mains electricity supply.
en - Warning and Safety instructions When vacuuming fine dust, e.g. sawdust, sand, plaster, flour, talcum powder etc., electrostatic charges build up naturally. Under certain conditions these charges will be released. To avoid the unpleasant effects of these dis‐ charges, a metal inlay has been incorporated into the un‐ derside of the handle. Please make sure that you keep your hand in constant contact with this metal strip during vacuuming. Do not let the vacuum cleaner get wet.
en - Warning and Safety instructions Do not use the vacuum cleaner to vacuum toner dust. Toner, such as that used in printers and photocopiers, can conduct electricity. Do not vacuum up any inflammable or combustible liq‐ uids or gases and do not vacuum in areas where such substances are stored. en Problem solving guide Problem Cause and remedy The vacuum cleaner switches off automati‐ cally. On certain models, the overheating warning light also comes on . A temperature limiter switches the vacuum cleaner off automatically if it gets too hot. This can occur if, for instance, large articles block the suction tube or when the dustbag is full or contains particles of fine dust. A heavily soiled exhaust or dust compartment filter can also be the cause of overheating.

en - Use Turbobrush features Using the Turbobrush The Turbobrush is operated by the suction power of the vacuum cleaner. It has a rotating roller brush which is very effective at picking up thread, hairs and fluff. Four rollers maintain the brush 1.5 mm away from the floor. ^ To achieve the best effect, pass the Turbobrush slowly backwards and forwards over the carpet or floor covering. For carpets with fringes always draw the Turbobrush from the carpet across the fringe towards the rest of the floor.
en - Use Fitting the Turbobrush Model STB 205 This Turbobrush is intended for use with Miele vacuum cleaners. ^ Instead of the usual floor attachment, fit the Turbobrush to the suction tube. Ensure that the locking device engages. Model STB 201 Vario This Turbobrush has an adapter, enabling it it be used with non-Miele vacuum cleaners. The adapter fits suction tubes with a diameter of between 30 and 38 mm. Only use the Turbobrush with high performance vacuum cleaners.
en - Cleaning and care ,Always disconnect the vacuum cleaner from the electrical supply for cleaning and maintenance work on the Turbobrush. Switch off at the wall socket and remove the plug. Removing threads and hairs ^ Cut any threads or hairs that have become entangled on the roller brush with a pair of scissors. Then run the vacuum cleaner to vacuum up the bits. For more obstinate tangles or blockages inside the Turbobrush, the cover can be opened. Any large particles can then be easily removed.
