4. Load the washing machine Open the door Close the door Take hold of the door and pull it open. Make sure that no items are caught between the door and the seal. Check the drum for pets or foreign objects before loading it with laundry. The most efficient use of energy and water is achieved when a full load is washed. However, do not overload as this reduces cleaning efficiency and causes creasing. Unfold the laundry and load loosely into the drum.
5. Add detergent There are several options for adding detergent. TwinDos The washing machine has the TwinDos system. TwinDos has to be activated as described in “Before using for the first time”. How UltraPhase 1 and UltraPhase 2 work UltraPhase 1 is a liquid detergent which dissolves dirt and removes the most common stains. UltraPhase 2 is a bleaching agent and removes stubborn stains. For the best washing result, these two agents are dispensed at separate times during the washing process.
5. Add detergent Level of soiling Replacing detergent cartridges The level of soiling in laundry is split into three settings: Make sure the washing machine is switched on before replacing the detergent cartridge. This will ensure that the counter is set to 0 and the fill level indicator is correct. - Light No visible soiling or stains - Normal Visibly soiled and/or just a few slight stains Switch on the washing machine. - Heavy Heavily soiled and/or stains clearly visible.
5. Add detergent Detergent dispenser drawer Adding detergent Any detergent suitable for automatic front loading washing machines can be used. Please observe the instructions for use and dosage on the detergent packaging. Ensure that TwinDos dispensing is deactivated. Add detergent in accordance with the value in the pull-down dosage display. The percentage shown relates to the amount of detergent recommended by the manufacturer on the packaging.
5. Add detergent Adding fabric conditioner Tips on dosing Adjust the detergent dosage to the level of soiling of the laundry and the size of the load. Reduce the amount of detergent with smaller loads (e.g. reduce the amount of detergent by ⅓ when washing a half load). Too little detergent: - Results in laundry not being cleaned properly and may cause it to become grey and hard to the touch over time. Add fabric conditioner or liquid starch to the compartment. Do not exceed the maximum level mark.
5. Add detergent CapDosing Inserting a capsule If you selected CapDosing when setting the programme, detergent will be dispensed via the capsule for this wash programme. Open the detergent dispenser drawer. Only one capsule can be selected per wash programme. Three different types of capsule are available: = Fabric care (e.g. fabric conditioner, proofing agent) = Additives (e.g. detergent enhancer) = Detergent (for the main wash only) Open the lid of the / compartment.
5. Add detergent The wash programme will dispense the contents of the capsule at the correct time. Water intake to the compartment is solely via the capsule. Do not add any additional fabric conditioner to the compartment. Remove the empty capsule at the end of the programme. Close the lid and press it firmly shut. For technical reasons a small amount of water will remain in the capsule. Close the detergent dispenser drawer.
6. Starting the programme Starting the programme The programme can be started when the Start/Stop sensor control is flashing on and off. Touch the Start/Stop sensor control. The door will lock and the programme will start. The programme status will appear in the display. Status 11:02 Adding laundry during a programme sequence (AddLoad) Laundry can be added or removed at any time. Touch the Add laundry sensor control.

The garments must be suitable for drying in a tumble dryer and suitable for ironing . Tip - 5–6 shirts make up a load of approx. 2.0 kg. - Smaller loads give a better result. - Remove garments as soon as the programme has finished and then tumble dry using the Gentle smoothing programme or place on a hanger to dry.
Programme chart Maintenance The washing machine has two maintenance programmes. 1. Clean machine for cleaning the washing machine. 2. Clean “TwinDos” for maintenance of TwinDos compartments /. See “Cleaning and care – TwinDos maintenance” for more details. Clean machine 85 °C No load With frequent washing at low temperatures there is a danger of a build-up of bacteria in the washing machine.
Extra options You can use the extra options buttons to augment the wash programmes. Quick The programme duration is reduced. Mechanical action and energy usage are increased. Water plus Pre-ironing In order to reduce creasing, the laundry undergoes a smoothing process at the end of the programme. Reducing the maximum load by 50 % will achieve a better result. Follow the instructions in the display. Small loads achieve a better result. The water level in the main wash and the rinses will be increased.
Extra options Intensive Extra quiet For hard-wearing laundry that is very heavily soiled. Cleaning efficiency is increased through more intense mechanical action and the application of more heat energy. This option reduces noise levels during the wash programme.
