Cleaning the drum
(Hygiene info)
Washing at low temperatures and/or us-
ing liquid detergent can cause bacteria
and unpleasant odours to build up in
the washing machine. Use the Clean
machine programme to clean the ma-
chine. Run this programme regularly or
at the latest when the Hygiene info: Select
“Maintenance” and run the “Clean ma-
chine” programme. message appears in
the display.
TwinDos maintenance
Damage resulting from dried
laundry detergent.
If the system has not been used for a
long time (more than two months),
detergent in the hoses can become
viscous or dry out. The hoses can
become blocked and would then
need to be cleaned by a service
technician.
Clean the TwinDos system.
To clean the system, you either need a
“TwinDosCare” cleaning cartridge or a
TwinDos refill cartridge, both of which
are available to purchase from
www.shop.miele.com.
The washing machine has a cleaning
programme for the TwinDos system.
Running the cleaning programme will
clean the hoses inside the washing ma-
chine.
Starting the maintenance programme
Switch on the washing machine.
Scroll to the second page in the main
menu.
Touch the Maintenance sensor.
The display will then change to show
the Maintenance menu.
Select Clean “TwinDos”.
Touch the sensor for the container
you want to clean.
Confirm Start Maintenance programme?
with the Yes sensor.
Follow the instructions in the display.
This cleans the hoses. The TwinDos
system can then be used again at any
time.
Cleaning the compartment
Detergent residue can cause clogging.
Use a damp cloth to clean the com-
partment interior when you change
the cartridge or container.
