Installation Instructions for Undermount Handmade and Apron Sinks

Care and Cleaning
This high-quality sink is constructed from heavy-gauge, #304 surgical stainless-steel. This material
contains 18% chromium for a premium shine and 10% nickel for rust resistance. Stainless-steel is durable
but will get scratched and scuffed with everyday use. This is normal, and any marks will become uniform
and blended with age.

ROUTINE CARE
To maintain the appearance of your Miligore sink, regular care is important. We recommend cleaning,
rinsing and drying the sink after use. Clean with a soft cloth or sponge and non-abrasive soap, wiping with
the grain of the metal. Remove any wet cloths or sponges, rinse completely and dry with a towel to prevent
build-up from water deposits. Never use steel wool, wire brushes or abrasive sponges to care for your sink.
For best results, use a grid protector and avoid placing wares on sink directly. Do not use rubber-coated
mats as discoloration of the sink may occur after prolonged use. Certain foods such as vinegar, salt,
pickles, mustard and fruit juice can cause pitting and other imperfections when left sitting on the surface for
prolonged periods of time. Chemicals and products such as drain cleaner, bleach, jewelry dip, denture
cream, photographic developer, hard water stain removal cleaners, etc. should be avoided or rinsed
promptly after contact with the sink’s surface.
TOUGH STAINS AND RUST
Most stains are from water-borne minerals and typically can be avoided with the routine care instructions
above.
While stainless-steel itself is resistant to rusting, rust stains can occur when iron is released from other
sources such as cookware, hard water or steel wool pads.
Generally, stains can be removed with powdered stainless-steel cleaners containing oxalic acid.
Stainless-steel polish may also be used. Apply cleaners and polishes with a fine pad wiping with the grain of
the metal, never across the grain. Remember to rinse the sink with soap and water after using any cleaning
products.
