Using Control Switch The control switch may be set to three positions: forward, reverse and lock. Due to a lockout mechanism, the control switch can only be adjusted when the ON/OFF switch is not pressed. Always allow the motor to come to a complete stop before using the control switch. Fig. 5 NOTE: When using carbide bits, do not use water to settle dust. Do not attempt to drill through steel reinforcing rods. This will damage the carbide bits. 2.

3. Pour arrêter l’outil, relâcher la détente. S’assurer que la mèche s’arrête complètement avant de poser l’outil. 2. Para cerrar las mordazas del portabrocas, gire el anillo en dirección horaria. La broca queda asegurada cuando el portabrocas hace un sonido de matraca y no es posible hacer girar más el anillo. 3. Para sacar la broca, gire el anillo en dirección antihoraria. NOTA: Cuando se abra o cierre el portabrocas es posible que se oiga un ruido de matraca. Este ruido es parte del dispositivo de bloqueo y no indica un problema en el funcionamiento del portabrocas. Para reducir la posibilidad de atoramiento de la broca: •Use brocas afiladas. Las brocas afiladas tienen menos posibilidades de atorarse durante la perforación. •Use la broca adecuada para el trabajo a realizar. Estas brocas han sido diseñadas para propósitos específicos. •Tenga cuidado cuando perfore materiales alquitranosos, anudados, húmedos o combados, o cuando perfore materiales que contengan clavos.
