Always consult and obey all international, federal, provincial/state and local hazardous waste disposal laws. Some jurisdictions require recycling of this spent product. Battery recycling is encouraged. Lithium ion batteries are safe for disposal in the normal municipal waste stream since they are not defined by the federal government as hazardous waste. However, Lithium ion batteries are recyclable.
