How to care
Cleaning of the Ionizer
In order to maintain the performance of the system and not to have an adverse impact on the life of the charge
eliminating electrode, perform cleaning periodically.
Deposits will occur in all corona discharge type charge eliminating devices as time go on.
Electric field, temperature, vapor, etc. around the charge eliminating electrode have an influence on the deposit
occurrence and the required maintenance cycle differs depending on the environment to use it.
1
Perform while the power supply is OFF.
2
Open the front right cover.
3
Move the carriage to the wiper side manually.
4
Remove the ionizer FAN.
• Pull out the connector from the ionizer to remove
the ionizer FAN.
• Charge eliminating electrode is needle-like and has keen-edged shape in order to maintain a
good performance of charge eliminating. Therefore, as it may stick in your skin etc. easily,
enough care should be taken when handling it.
• When performing cleaning work, wear goggles and vinyl gloves.
