Useful Function
Checking head gap
When continue mode has been selected, be sure to check the gap. The table can be ad-justed in height,
according to thickness of a media used for printing.
The table height mustbe set according to the media thickness. If the table height is too low, it may affect
theprinting quality and even damage the media or the device itself. Be sure that the tableheight is correct.

When <LOCAL> is displayed, press the
key.

Select [GAP CHECK] with the
key, and press the key.

Select [CHECK START] with the
key, and press the key.

When the message on the right is
displayed, open the front cover.

After setting a media, press the
key.
• The head gap adjustment is performed
automatically.
• The head gap is the value set in the screen of P.3-
16.

When the message on the right is
displayed, close the front cover.
• When continue mode has been selected, the head gap adjustment is performed once during
printing after turning on the main power. Make sure to adjust the head gapfor the gap check is
not performed when the media thickness has beenchanged.
• After the gap check, the table height set screen
( P.3-16) changes to the head gap setting screen.
