7.2.1.2. Changinglinewidthandcolorpropertiesforpen,line,andobjecttools
The center section of mimio Tools appears when any pen tool (Pen, Highlighter, Eraser) or graphic tool
(Line, Rectangle, Ellipse, Polygon)withvariablecolorpropertiesisselected.Thesettingoptionsallowyou
toadjustthecolorandthewidthofthepen,lineorobjectborderandviewtheappearanceofselectedsettings
inthepreviewpane(Figure7‐.
• Change the ink or line color by left‐clicking on one of the color blocks in the center panel. The
crossed‐outcolorblockproducesaninvisiblepen.Ifthecoloryouwishtousecannotbefoundinthe
availableblocks,clickon
thecolorselector .Adialogwillappear,allowingyoutocustomizethe
inkcolor.Onceyouchooseacolor,saveasacustomcolor,andpressOK,thedialogwillcloseandthe
colorwillbereflectedinthepreviewimagetotheleft.
• Changethecolorandthewidthoftheshapeʹsborderusingthesamecolorblocksandsliderusedto
changeinkcolorandseeapreviewoftheselection(Figure.

• Change the fill color for any shape object by left‐clicking on one of the color swatches in the right
panel of the center section of the expanded mimio Tools dialog. Select the grey crossed‐out color
blocktochooseno
fillcolor,inwhichcasetheinsidetheshapewillbetransparentaswillbeindicated
inthepreviewpane.Forcustomfillcolorsclickonthefillselectoricon(bucketpouringintoblock).
7.2.2. InsertingtextonNotebookpages
ByselectingtheTextbutton fromthetoprowofmimioToolsatextboxwillbeaddedtoanyselectedarea
of the page.Drag the cursor to set the box to the desired size.From the computer keyboard or from the
floatingkeyboardprojectedonthewhiteboard,youcanaddanytextwithin
thebox.WhentheTextbutton
isselectedmimio Tools willexpandtorevealafullsetofstandardWindowstexteditingtools,including
Fontpulldownmenu, Font Size pulldownmenu, Bold
, Italics , Underline , Font Color , and
Left
, Center & Right textjustification.
