GSR
GSR measures the conductivity of the skin. This varies with the level of arousal of the
autonomic nervous system. The GSR works by passing a minute amount of current through
the body (<10 micro Amps). Although in reality more complicated, it is easiest to think of the
GSR in terms of sweaty palms. When you are nervous or stressed your palms sweat. This
raises the conductivity of your skin (makes it easier for electricity to pass through it). When
you are calm you sweat less and hence are less conductive.
There are three choices from the GSR Menu: Graph, Meter and General Graph .
1. Graph displays the raw signal.
2. General Graph allows you to output the GSR as a general graph, a post session ASCII
output or a live DDE output.
3. Meter is a digital display of the GSR.
