Downloading history.doc from the logger
This sequence will download the history file “history.doc” from the internal logger. It is
assumed that the file is less than 99999 bytes long (for longer files, wflen2 may be increased or
only the last few kilobytes of the file may be downloaded).

5.17.11 Error messages
The buoy can give out a number of error numbers related to internet communication. The error
numbers are printed out through the console and logged on the internal data logger. The error
numbers are given in the form “TCP: error:<N>”, where <N> is the error number. This section
discusses all error numbers, their meaning and a possible cause or solution.
Table 5.17.2. Error numbers
Error meaning cause / solution
1 dialling failed Caused by bad signal and/or wrong dial script. Check that the
SIM card is properly installed and has no PIN code enabled.
Also check if the antenna has a clear view of the sky (in case of
Iridium) and that the dial script has been correctly entered

IP address.
5 connection failed The destination host is not responding. Please check the
destination computer firewall settings and make sure that iBuoy
is correctly configured and running.

Consider entering a straight IP address.
9 tcp/ip error or
