Figure 29 Blending of Target IDs
The two Target IDs may still be slightly less accurate than ideal, however when
Recovery Fast is o, the ID will be more variable and may not resemble either of the
targets.
In the example shown (Figure 29), using Recovery Fast will provide two distinct
target IDs in each direction, whereas when Recovery Fast is o the ID will be more
variable and may not resemble either of the targets.
Turn Recovery Fast On/O
1. From the Mode Settings menu, use the down arrow button to highlight the
Recovery Fast option and press Select.
A green tick will appear in the check box indicating that Recovery Fast is on.
2. Select the Recovery Fast option again to remove the green tick and turn Recovery
Fast o.
Recovery Deep
The Recovery Deep setting only aects weak target signals (strong signals are
unaected), enhancing identication of deep targets. It should only be used in
relatively uncluttered areas where deep targets are anticipated. When Recovery
Deep is in use there will be a slightly slower reaction in target signal and Target ID
due to the extra signal processing that is employed.
Turn Recovery Deep On/O
1. From the Mode Settings menu, use the down arrow button to highlight the
Recovery Deep option and press Select.
2. Select the Recovery Deep option again to remove the green tick and turn Recovery
Fast o.
Target Separation
Range: Low Trash/High Trash/Ferrous-Coin/Ground-Coin
Target Separation allows you to optimize the signal processing to suit your
detecting conditions. The Target Separation settings are:
Low Trash – targets in a low trash density environment
High Trash – targets in a high trash density environment
Ferrous-Coin – coins in a high density FE trash environment, low mineralization
Ground-Coin – coins in ground with high mineralization
NOTE
Minelab recommends turning
Recovery Fast On when Trash
Density is set to High
