Minka-Aire warrants to the original owner that this fan will be free from defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase, excluding the motor. Minka-Aire warrants to the original owner that the motor in this fan shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the fan, and it remains in the original installation. This is a limited warranty.
This warranty shall not apply to fans which have been damaged in any way, including improper installation, damage as a result of the removal of the fan from the origial installation, or damage in shipping. This warranty shall not apply to fans which have been subjected to use for which the fan was not designed. The purchaser of the fan shall be responsible for any cost of removing the old fan, installing a new fan, or any other costs. This limited warranty is in lieu of all other express warranties.

1 SAFETY RULES 1. Before you begin installing the fan, shut power off at the circuit breaker of the fuse box. 2. Be cautious! Read all instructions and safety information before installing your new fan. Review accompanying assembly diagrams. 3. Make sure that all electrical connections comply with local codes, ordinances, or National Electrical Codes. Hire a qualified electrician or consult a do-it-yourself wiring handbook if you are unfamiliar with installing electrical wiring. 4.
NOTE: The important safeguards and instructions appearing in this manual are not meant to cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. 3 INSTALLING THE MOUNTING BRACKET Tools Required: Phillips screw driver; slotted screw driver; step-ladder; wire cutters; electrical tape. WARNING: All of the parts, hardware and components have been provided for your safety and the proper installation of your new ceiling fan. The use of other parts, hardware or components not supplied by Minka Aire® with the fan will void the Minka Aire® Warranty. OUTLET BOX MOUNTING BRACKET REMEMBER To turn off the power.
4 ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS WARNING: To avoid possible electrical shock be sure electricity is turned off at the main fuse or breaker box before wiring. Caution! The dip switches on the receiving unit are covered with a rubber cover, remove the rubber cover and then have it replaced after making any changes to the dip switches. NOTE: The Aire Control® System is equipped with a learning frequency function which has 256 code combinations to prevent potential interference from other remote units.

5 INSTALLING THE WALL TRANSMITTER WARNING! HOOK UP "IN SERIES" ONLY. DO NOT CONNECT NEUTRAL SUPPLY WIRE OF ELECTRIC CIRCUIT TO THE TRANSMITTER WALL SWITCH, DAMAGE TO THE TRANSMITTER WALL SWITCH AND POSSIBLE FIRE COULD OCCUR. Step 1. Remove the existing wall plate and switch from the wall outlet box. Step 2. Make the electrical connections as shown in Fig.4. If your outlet box has a ground wire (Green or Bare Copper) connect the Transmitter's ground wire directly to one of the screws from the outlet box.
FINISHING THE INSTALLATION Step 1. Move fan into position over the four mounting screws and secure with the provided washers and nuts. (Fig. 6) Step 2. Raise the motor housing up against the mounting bracket, the four supports inside the housing should be placed against the four studs on mounting bracket, twist the housing clockwise until snug. 7 BLADE INSTALLATION THE FOLLOWING OPERATION MUST BE ACCOMPLISHED BEFORE INSTALLING THE GLASS SHADE. SCREWS Step 1. Attach the fan blade and medallion to the blade holder using the screws and rubber washers provided. Tighten screws securely. Repeat process for remaining blades.(Fig. 8) RUBBER WASHERS BLADE HOLDER BLADE HOLDER Step 2. Rotate the motor so that the screw holes in motor are aligned with the holes in blade holder and secure with proper screws. Repeat process for the other blade holders.
8 INSTALLING THE MOUNTING PLATE Step 1. Remove 1 of 3 screws from the mounting ring and loosen the other 2 screws. (Do not remove) Step 2. Place the key holes from the mounting plate over the 2 screws previously loosened from the mounting ring, turn mounting plate until it locks in place at the narrow section of the key holes. Secure by tightening the 2 screws previously loosened and the one previously removed. (Fig.
9 INSTALLING THE LIGHT KIT NOTE: Before starting installation, disconnect the power by turning off the circuit breaker or removing the fuse at fuse box. 1. Raise and hold the light kit close to the mounting plate and proceed to do the wire connections. Connect the white wire connectors from the light kit and fan, follow the same procedure with the black wire connector from the fan and the black wire connector from the light kit. (Fig. 11) 2.
10 INSTALLING THE LIGHT BULBS & GLASS SHADE WARNING: Shut of the power supply before removing or replacing lamp. In handling of halogen bulb, care should be taken not to touch it with your bare hands. Oil residue will shorten the life of the halogen bulb. If you accidentally come into contact, wipe thoroughly with a clean, lint-free, cotton cloth. Allow the bulb to cool off for 10 minutes before changing the bulb. Use light bulb in accordance with the fan's specification.
11 OPERATING THE REMOTE CONTROL/WALL CONTROL Remote Control only: Install a A23 12 volt battery (included). To prevent damage to transmitter remove the battery if not used for long periods of time. instructions apply to ceiling fans that feature a DOWN D. Speed settings for warm or cold weather depend on factors such as room size, ceiling height and number of fans. NOTE: To change the direction of the rotation of the blades the fan must be in operation mode. Warm Weather (forward) A DOWNWARD airflow creates a cooling effect as shown in Figure 13. This allows you to set your air conditioner on a warmer setting without affecting your comfort. Cool Weather (Reverse) An UPWARD airflow moves warmer air off the ceiling area as shown in Figure 14.
12 CARE OF YOUR FAN Here are some suggestions to help maintain your fan. 1. Because of the fan's natural movement some connections may become loose. Check the support connections, brackets and blade attachments twice a year. Make sure they are secure. (It is not necessary to remove fan from the ceiling). 2. Clean your fan periodically to help maintain its new appearance over the years. Use only a soft brush or lint free cloth to avoid scratching the finish.
